Operating systems

Windows 7

Follow these instructions to install Windows 7 operating system.

What you will need:

  1. Computer with an active OS
  2. 16 GB USB Drive (The USB drive needs to be backed up or empty, as the process of creating a bootable drive formats the drive)
  3. ISO file with Windows (link is provided in your order delivery email)
  4. Rufus* (software for creating a bootable drive)
*alternative software is needed as Windows 7 is no longer officially supported by Microsoft


    Step 1 – Preparing the boot drive

    1. Download Rufus (https://rufus.akeo.ie/)
    2. Download the .iso installation file (provided in your delivery email)
    3. Plug an empty USB in a computer (other than the one to be installed)
    4. Run Rufus and configure
    5. Press Start and let the process complete.

     

    Step 2 – Installing Windows

    1. Plug in the Bootable USB drive in the PC
    2. Once the installation begins, select language

    3. Click Install Now

    4. Accept the license terms

    5. Select Custom option

    6. Select partition

    7. Wait for the process to finish

    Windows 8.1

    Follow these instructions to install Windows 8.1 operating system.

    What you will need:

    1. Computer with an active OS
    2. 16 GB USB Drive (The USB drive needs to be backed up or empty, as the process of creating a bootable drive formats the drive)
    3. ISO file with Windows (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO)
    4. Rufus (software for creating a bootable drive) 


    Step 1 – Preparing the boot drive

    1. Download Rufus (https://rufus.akeo.ie/)
    2. Download the .iso installation file (provided in your delivery email)
    3. Plug an empty USB in a computer (other than the one to be installed)
    4. Run Rufus and configure
    5. Press Start and let the process complete.

    Step 2 – Installing Windows

    1. Plug in the Bootable USB drive in the PC
    2. Select Language and local settings

    3. Click Install Now

    4. Introduce purchased license key

    5. Agree to license terms

     

    6. Select Custom installation 

    7. Select Partition

    Windows 10

    Follow these instructions to install Windows 10 operating system.

    What you will need:

    1. Computer with an active OS
    2. 16 GB USB Drive (The USB drive needs to be backed up or empty, as the process of creating a bootable drive formats the drive)
    3. Media Creation Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10)


    Step 1 – Preparing the boot drive

    1. Download the Media Creation Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10)
    2. Insert the empty USB drive
    3. Open the Media Creation Tool and setup

    4. Select the option for creating installation media and click Next. 
    5. Select the language, edition, and architecture for Windows 10.
    6. Select to create a bootable drive from a USB.
    7. Locate and select USB Drive.
    8. Once complete take out the USB drive and proceed to install

    Step 2 – Installing Windows

    1. Plug in the Bootable USB drive in the PC
    2. Click Install now


    3. Setup language and region


    4. Click on “I don’t have a product key” (it’s easier and better to input the license once the installation is complete)

    5. Select the Edition to be installed (DO NOT SELECT N Editions)

     

    6. Accept the license terms

    7. Select Custom Installation

    8. Select partition

    Windows 11

    Follow these instructions to install Windows 11 operating system.

    IMPORTANT! Please make sure your PC supports Windows 11. To check if your PC is eligible for Windows 11 please visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11#pchealthcheck

    What you will need:

    1. Computer with an active OS
    2. 16 GB USB Drive (The USB drive needs to be backed up or empty, as the process of creating a bootable drive formats the drive)
    3. Media Creation Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10)


    Step 1 – Preparing the boot drive

    1. Download the Media Creation Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10)
    2. Insert the empty USB drive
    3. Open the Media Creation Tool and setup

    4. Select the option for creating installation media and click Next. 
    5. Select the language, edition, and architecture for Windows 10.
    6. Select to create a bootable drive from a USB.


    7. Locate and select USB Drive.
    8. Once complete take out the USB drive and proceed to install

    Microsoft Office

    Microsoft Office 2013 | 2016 | 2019 | 2021

    Follow these instructions to install Microsoft Office 2013 2016, 2019, 2021*

    *Except for Office 2016 H&B Mac, Office 2019 H&S, Office 2019 H&B Mac, Office 2021 H&S, Office 2021 H&B Mac.

    What you will need

    1. Office installation file - download it from the link sent with your order delivery email.

    Step 1 - Remove other MS Office versions from your PC

    To ensure smooth installation, download and use this Tool to uninstall any previous Microsoft Office versions. Should you have a pirated copy of Office, we suggest a clean install of the OS.

    Step 2 - Download and install Office software

    1. Download your software ISO file from the link sent with your order delivery email
    2. Open the ISO and locate the Office folder
    *Select the x32 or x64 bit installation based on your systems architecture or personal needs
    3. Locate and execute the setup.exe
    4. Accept the license terms
    5. When asked by the installation input your license key
    6. Configure Installation  

    Step 3 - Activate Office

    1. Once installation process is done, open one of the Office applications (e.g. Word).

    2. Online activation

    2.1 Read and accept license agreement

    2.2. Input the license key and your product will be activate

    3. Phone activation
    If activation does not take place automatically, follow these steps:

    3.1 In the Activation Wizard* choose 'I want to activate the software by telephone', and click Next. 


    * If the Activation Wizard does not appear, create a new blank document, and then go to File > Account and select 'Activate license'.

    3.2 You’ll be presented with a numeric installation ID composed of 9 groups of 6 or 7 digits
    3.3 Select your country/region.

     

     

    3.4 Visit the Microsoft automated phone activation service here 
    3.5 Check if your Installation ID (from Activation Wizard) consists of 6 or 7 digits (per number group) and select

     

    3.6 Once selected, input your Installation ID (from Activation Wizard) and click submit. 


    3.7 The system will ask you to confirm the number of PCs this license has been used on, please select 0

    3.8 The Confirmation ID will be displayed, input the ID in the Activation Wizard

     

    3.9 Click Next and follow the last steps to complete activation 

    Microsoft Office 2013 | 2016 | 2019 | 2021 - account assoociation

    Follow these instructions to install redeem Office licenses:

    Office 2016 Home & Business Mac,Office 2019 Home & Student, Office 2019 Home & Business Mac, Office 2021 Home & Student and Office 2021 Home & Business Mac.

    If your purchased one of these products in your delivery email you will receive a redeem code that generates a license connected to your Microsoft account. Once the code is redeemed, a license key will be allocated to your account for the activation of the product.

    Step 1 - Remove other MS Office versions from your PC

    Step 2 - Redeem your license key

    1. Visit redeem.microsoft.com and login to your Microsoft account or if you do not have it yet - create one.

     


    2. Once you are logged in input the product key (received via email) in the license field.

     

     

    3. After the system verifies your license click Next. The license and the product are now associated with your Microsoft Account. 

    Step 3 - Download and install Office software

    1. Go to Services & subscriptions tab at the top (or visit this link, click login to your account and then navigate to Services & subscriptions)

     


    2. Under products you’ve purchased, find your purchased product  and click Install.

     

    3. When Setup finishes the installation process, open one of the Office programs (e.g. Word) and login with the same account used for redeem in Step 2.
    4. If the login is successful your Office is activated and ready to use.
